A British
Airways flight travelling from Las Vegas to London Heathrow has been
diverted to Montreal after reports of a bomb threat.
Photographs
taken from the airport show a dozen police cars racing to flight BA274,
carrying 312 passengers, which made an emergency landing at Trudeau
Airport in Dorval at 5.47am local time (10.47am GMT).
Montreal
police and British Airways said the pilot made a request to land the
plane following an 'emergency' during the flight, while the son of two
passengers onboard said they were told there was a 'suspect device' on
the aircraft.

All
of the passengers onboard and 16 crew were evacuated while Montreal
police search the aircraft with sniffer dogs and all of the luggage is
removed to check for explosives.

Sommerville, a genetics PhD student based in Newcastle upon Tyne, said
his parents were on the flight and were told officials were investigated
a 'suspect device'.
He wrote on Twitter: 'My parents flight was diverted 2 Montreal, evacuated&searched. They and everyone safe and calm! [sic]
'[I] am looking forward to having them home soon!'

Brabant, media relations officer for Montreal Police SPVM, told
MailOnline said they received a call at 5.15am following a call from
British Airways, saying that the pilot in charge of flight 274 wanted to
make an emergency landing.
